The Grand Valley State University women’s tennis team capped off its regular reason with an 8-1 victory over Ferris State Universityon Thursdayin Big Rapids, Mich.

GVSU (11-3, 10-3 GLIAC) finishes with the fourth-best record in the conference.

The Lakers won each of the top-five singles matches while sweeping all three contests in doubles action.

Seniors Lexi Rice and Niki Shipman and juniors Kali Phillips and Carola Orna each finished with a victory in singles and doubles play.

The team will compete in the GLIAC Tournament over the weekend in Midland, Mich.
