WCKS Whale Radio, the Lanthorn and GVTV are working to raise money for Relay for Life in support of the American Cancer Society. The event started yesterday with a luminaria ceremony at the Cook Carillon Tower. The 24-hour fundraiser continues today until 10 p.m. Donation tables will be set up in the Kirkhof Center to accept cash, check and credit card donations. This year’s fundraising goal is $3,000 in 24 hours. Students can also be a part of the live audience for GVTV’s telethon broadcast from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in Area 51. The show will include music, stand-up comedy, dancing, speakers who have been affected by cancer and representatives from several organizations.
