​GVSU faculty receive Fulbright Scholar awards

Three Grand Valley State University faculty members have received Fulbright Scholar awards, which allow them to work abroad in the coming months. Russ Rhoads, an associate professor of anthropology will be teaching at Njala University in Sierra Leone, in West Africa. 

Jerry Scripps, assistant professor of computing and information systems will be teaching at a technical school in Graz, Austria. 

Charles Baker-Clark, associate professor of hospitality and tourism management, will teach in Montenegro. He hopes to create a new HTM course when he returns about the food and culture of the Balkans.
