$3K embezzled from student organizations
Assistant Director of GVPD Capt. Brandon DeHaan said GVPD first became aware of the incidents at the end of August when the Synchronized Skating Club filed a police report stating that after reviewing the clubs finances officers discovered approximately 1000 in unauthorized charges had been made from April to June using the debit card linked to the clubs bank account. GVPD then launched a full investigation into the disputed charges which consisted of personal purchases unrelated to official club business or equipment.
ACES offers Spring Break safety tips for women
The annual program which is hosted in conjunction with the Grand Valley Police Department will focus on how to drink safely and remain safe when choosing to drink in new environments with new people whether students are returning home over break or travelling in the U.S. or abroad.
