Comedian Daphnique Springs will be visiting Grand Valley State Univeristy to perform Tuesday, Dec. 12, starting at 8 p.m. in the Cook-DeWitt Center. Springs is being brought to campus by Spotlight Productions as a part of GVSU’s "exam cram."

Grand Valley State University’s Office of Student Life will be hosting "Awkward Holiday Photos" in the Kirkhof Center lobby from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 4, through Thursday, Dec. 7.


GVSU students to host poetry slam competition

Grand Valley State University’s newly formed College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) team will be hosting a competitive poetry slam on Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Area 51 of the Kirkhof Center at 7 p.m. The purpose of the slam is to find more members for the GVSU team to compete in the national CUPSI competition.

GVSU hosts annual Fall Dance Concert

With house lights on and audience members still moving into the seats of the Louis Armstrong Theatre inside the Haas Center for Performing Arts, two dancers clad in black stood in the aisle, dancing up and down the rows in sync with dance partners across the theater. After their dance, the lights dimmed and the annual Fall Dance Concert began.

Hypnotist Tom DeLuca returns to GVSU

During this point in a semester at Grand Valley State University, students may need a laugh or night out to boost morale. Providing a solution to this, Tom DeLuca, a hypnotist who creates comedic relief during stressful times, will be visiting GVSU on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 9 p.m.
