Grand Valley State University and the University of the Sunshine Coast reached an agreement that extends a current charter between the schools for five years. GVSU students will retain the opportunity to study abroad at the university, which is located in Queensland, Australia.

The Grand Valley State University art exhibit "Art Is a Drag: The Library Is Open" is set to conclude its residence in the Mary Idema Pew Library Exhibition Space on Wednesday, Nov. 29. Until then, students at GVSU are able to see the artwork all day long.

The Grand Valley State University Center for Scholarly and Creative Excellence revealed recipients for two faculty research grant programs Friday, Nov. 10. The two grant programs are the Catalyst Grants for Research and Creativity and the Collaborative Research and Creative Activity Initiative.

A cappella group Backtrack will be coming to Grand Valley State University Wednesday, Nov. 15, for an evening of a cappella. The award-winning group from New York City has garnered more than 8.7 million views on YouTube with around 100,000 subscribers.

Laker Life briefs 11/9/17

The "Andy Warhol’s American Icons" exhibit opened to the public at the Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM) Saturday, Oct. 28. The museum is located on Monroe Center Street in Grand Rapids and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on most days of operation. Admission cost is $8 with a student ID.
