GVSU to host annual Family Weekend

Every year, Grand Valley State University celebrates Family Weekend, a three-day-long celebration where families of GVSU students can come visit the university for a series of events and activities. This year's weekend festivities will begin Friday, Sept. 22, at 6 p.m. and run through Sunday, Sept. 24, at 8 p.m. The theme is “Valley of Colors,” since it will take place during the same time as Grand Rapid's ArtPrize.

Making history

The National Governors Association, along with the Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies at Grand Valley State University, will be hosting “Women and Leadership: The First Conference of U.S. Women Governors" Friday, Sept. 8, through Saturday, Sept. 9. This two-day event will serve as the first time U.S. female governors have been gathered together for a conference of this kind.
