GVSU DI, DIII club roller hockey teams eliminated at nationals

The Grand Valley State men’s club roller hockey teams (Division I and III) qualified for and competed in the 2017 National Collegiate Roller Hockey Championship in Fort Myers, Florida from Sunday, April 5, through Thursday, April 9. Although both the DI and DIII teams qualified for the highest pool play seeds in the program’s eight-year history, both teams finished the tournament with only one win and four losses to end their season and national championship hopes.

GVSU rowing hosts 22nd annual Lubbers Cup Regatta

After a long winter and multiple out-of-state competitions, Grand Valley State rowing has finally been able to compete on its own home turf—or waters—this spring. The GVSU club men’s and women’s rowing teams hosted the 22nd annual Lubbers Cup Regatta at Spring Lake Friday, April 7 through Sunday, April 9. The event is sponsored by the Grand Haven Chamber of Commerce and held at Spring Lake Yacht Club.

Three seniors earn All-Conference honors for club men's volleyball

The driving force of senior leadership has once again vaulted Grand Valley State men’s club volleyball into the national tournament. All-Conference award winners Marcus Johns, Andre Bonneville and Xavier Remmo have led the Lakers to the No. 19 rank in the nation. Their combination of talent and experience at the college level are allowing the Lakers to thrive.
