Revive hosts annual conference

Approximately 30 attendees gathered to experience the annual conference hosted by the student organization Revive at Grand Valley State University Saturday, Oct. 21, in the Kirkhof Center. The conference, which focused on issues affecting minority populations, was a combination of five sessions co-sponsored by the Omicron Alpha Chapter of the Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority Inc.

'Drop-In Studio' lets GVSU students replicate Islamic art

Celebrating Islamic art, geometric designs and hands-on experience, the Grand Valley State University Haas Center for Performing Arts will be hosting a "Drop-In Studio" in the Art Gallery.  At the event, there will be Islamic art, tea and a welcoming environment. The drop-in sessions, happening at different times from Tuesday, Oct. 24, through Friday, Oct. 26, are free and open to the public.

GVSU to host annual contemporary piano festival

The 20th/21st-Century Piano Festival will bring a range of piano students to Grand Valley State University’s Sherman Van Solkema Recital Hall Saturday, Oct. 28. There will be recitals throughout the day, beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing into the afternoon, with performances by professors, college students and young performers alike.
