GVSU men's golf performs well, Mitchell White earns GLIAC Golfer of the Week

The Grand Valley State University men’s golf team traveled to Findlay Country Club on Sept. 24 and 25 to participate in the Doc Spragg Fall Invitational. This is only the second tournament of the year for the Lakers, the first of which saw them take home the victory. This tournament would have a similar finish. On day one of the tournament, GVSU shot a 291 as a team, good enough to put them in second place going into the final round. The only team to perform better was the University of Indianapolis, with UIndy shooting a 288.

If there were ever a time to find their winning groove, the Grand Valley State women’s golf team found the perfect time to do so right before the GLIAC Championships. After earning a first-place finish at the NC4K Classic on Tuesday, April 10, the Lakers repeated success with another victory, this time at the Ashland Invitational on Saturday, April 14, to close out the regular season. The final day of competition was canceled due to rain.
