Jared Maddock: The stalwart pipe protector

“Goalies almost never get credit for winning a game, but they always get blamed for losing a game,” once said Steve Carrell, an avid hockey fan and actor best known for his role as Michael Scott on "The Office." Championship or bust: Ryan Hein, DII hockey have high expectations this season

While the 2017-18 season did include a 15 game winning streak for the Lakers, it also ended a bit prematurely as GVSU lost to Adrian 4-3 in overtime in the first round of regionals. After such a successful regular season last year, it’s safe to say that the expectations remain high for the 2018-19 season. The squad, including junior forward Ryan Hein, has been putting in the work this offseason to make sure that regionals loss doesn’t happen again.
