Quick hits: GVSU lacrosse, softball, club rowing

For the sixth game in a row, the No. 16 Grand Valley State lacrosse team won, grabbing a 19-13 victory over the McKendree University Bearcats in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) action on Saturday, March 31, at the GVSU lacrosse field.

GVSU rowing hosts 22nd annual Lubbers Cup Regatta

After a long winter and multiple out-of-state competitions, Grand Valley State rowing has finally been able to compete on its own home turf—or waters—this spring. The GVSU club men’s and women’s rowing teams hosted the 22nd annual Lubbers Cup Regatta at Spring Lake Friday, April 7 through Sunday, April 9. The event is sponsored by the Grand Haven Chamber of Commerce and held at Spring Lake Yacht Club.

GVSU club rowing trains in Ontario

The Grand Valley State University rowing club traveled to London, Ontario this past weekend to gear up for the 2016 fall campaign. The men’s and women’s varsity crew trained with the University of Western Ontario, one of the better rowing crews in Canada.
