In a hostile environment inside Ewigleben Sports Arena, the Grand Valley State volleyball team aimed for revenge against rival No. 3 Ferris State on the Bulldog home court in the semifinals of the GLIAC tournament. The Bulldogs forcefully stood their ground.

GVSU volleyball coach sets program win mark

Unnoticed for a quite some time in the concourse of Fieldhouse Arena is a poster of Grand Valley State’s volleyball “Laker Legends.” Included on this poster is current head coach Deanne Scanlon with the caption, “All-Time Leader in Coaching Wins.”

GVSU volleyball wins pair of conference matchups

The Grand Valley State volleyball team was given a slight scare on Halloween weekend, but was able to block out the past and get back on track. GVSU (16-8, 10-3 GLIAC) needed all five sets on Friday to knock off Northern Michigan (17-8, 6-7 GLIAC) by scores of 25-20, 20-25, 25-22, 12-25, 15-10.
