Hauenstein Center to host conference to encourage community to support returning veterans

Grand Valley State University’s Hauenstein Center for Presidential Studies is holding the conference “The Hidden Wounds of War — A Community Response” on March 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The event will feature keynote speaker Jonathon Shay, a nationally know psychiatrist and the author of “Achilles in Vietnam.” The conference will promote understanding of traumatic brain injury, post-traumatic stress disorder and moral injury.
