Another GV student hit by car on 48th Avenue

A second Grand Valley State University student has been hit by a car on 48th Avenue while on their way home from the Allendale Campus. Isaac Boes was hit on Saturday just before 1:30 a.m. and was taken to the hospital, though no injuries were life-threatening.

According to investigators with the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department, Boes was trying to cross 48th Avenue at West Campus Drive. The car was driven by 18-year-old Zachary Drescher. The crash remains under investigation. 

The first incident on 48th Avenue occurred on Sept. 6. GVSU student Brooke Tomcsik was hit by a car that then drove away.
