Fall Arts Celebration to feature poetry duo

The Fall Arts Celebration welcomes two award-winning poets for a night of conversation, live poetry and book signings. An Evening of Poetry and Conversation with Oliver de la Paz and Tracy K. Smith will be held Thursday, Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. on the second floor of the Eberhard Center at Grand Valley State University. Admission is free, and all are welcome to attend.

Donovan Hohn visits GVSU to kick off annual Writers Series

The Grand Valley State University Writers Series has an extensive history of bringing renowned and emerging writers to campus to read excerpts from their work and speak to students about what it takes to make it as a writer today. Donovan Hohn, former editor at GQ Magazine and author of the book, “Moby Duck,” visited GVSU Thursday, Sept. 29 to kick off this year’s Writers Series.

GVSU festival to honor 400 years of Shakespeare

Stories of sex, imprisonment and execution make their way to Grand Valley State University this fall to commemorate and celebrate Shakespeare and his life, intelligence and work in the 23rd annual Shakespeare Festival. GVSU will host the biggest Shakespeare Festival this fall, as 2016 marks the 400th year since Shakespeare’s death.
