The Grand Valley State University Student Academic Success Center (SASC) will be hosting the “Ace That Test (Midterm Prep) Workshop” Tuesday, Oct. 3, from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Kirkhof Center, Room 1104.

GVSU to welcome poet Denice Frohman for spoken-word performance

As the semester continues, an artistic event such as a poetry reading may offer students a chance to be entertained in the midst of studying for exams, as well as an opportunity to be engaged with thought-provoking ideas. To encourage this, Grand Valley State University will host a spoken-word event featuring award-winning poet Denice Frohman.

'Rock the Runway' to benefit children's hospital

Two local businesses will host “Rock the Runway,” a charity fashion show benefiting the Helen Devos Children’s Hospital, Thursday, Sept. 28, at 6 p.m. Dutton General Store and Myrtle Mae’s Chic Boutique will be showcasing clothing from their own stores at The Golf Club at Thornapple in Grand Rapids.
