Now through May 20, the Grand Rapids Public Museum will be offering the exhibit "Dragons, Unicorns and Mermaids," organized by the American Museum of Natural History.

Dance seniors perform final show at GVSU

Grand Valley State University seniors Sarah Byington, Coral Howard, Mackenzie Matyn, Leigha McDaniel and Hannah Suydam hosted their final dance show on Saturday, Dec. 9. From holding auditions for dancers, choreographing the routines and styling the costumes, these performers had a part in all of it.


Arts briefs 12/11/17

Comedian Daphnique Springs will be visiting Grand Valley State Univeristy to perform Tuesday, Dec. 12, starting at 8 p.m. in the Cook-DeWitt Center. Springs is being brought to campus by Spotlight Productions as a part of GVSU’s "exam cram."


Office of Multicultural Affairs hosts 'exam cram' relaxation events

Just hearing the words “exam cram” can be enough to stress out college students. At Grand Valley State University, students scramble to write papers, finish projects and study for tests during the last two weeks of the semester, which creates a lot of pressure. With this in mind, the OMA is hosting exam cram relaxation, a week-and-a-half-long program to help students combat finals fatigue. All of the activities are free and open to everyone.

Grand Valley State University’s Office of Student Life will be hosting "Awkward Holiday Photos" in the Kirkhof Center lobby from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. from Monday, Dec. 4, through Thursday, Dec. 7.


GVSU students to host poetry slam competition

Grand Valley State University’s newly formed College Unions Poetry Slam Invitational (CUPSI) team will be hosting a competitive poetry slam on Wednesday, Dec. 6, in Area 51 of the Kirkhof Center at 7 p.m. The purpose of the slam is to find more members for the GVSU team to compete in the national CUPSI competition.
