GVSU women's golf claims JBMF Cavalier Classic crown

The Grand Valley State women’s golf team won the JBMF Cavalier Classic in Canton, Ohio with an overall score of 608. The Lakers shot 309 on day one Monday, April 10, good enough to put them second going into the second round, then proceeded to blow the competition away with a 299 on day two Tuesday, April 11. Co-second place finishers Northern Michigan and Ashland each ended up 14 strokes behind the Lakers.

Rush, GVSU men's golf capture top finish at Music City Golf Invitational

For a team that has finished in the top-five in their first three spring invitationals, the Grand Valley State men’s golf team has seen early results from its youthful roster. The Lakers can add another notch in their resume after capturing a first place finish at the Music City Golf Invitational and third regional of the season in Nashville Monday, April 3, and Tuesday, April 4. Coach Gary Bissell said this was the team’s necessary first step in the quest of emerging as a top contender.

GVSU men's golf finishes third overall at SVSU Spring Invitational

The Grand Valley State men’s golf team participated in the Saginaw Valley State University Spring Invitational over the weekend at Cherry Blossom Golf Course in Georgetown, Kentucky. After finishing Saturday, March 18, in first place with a team score of 10-over-par, the Lakers dropped to third place Sunday, posting another 10-over. The Lakers finished behind Bellarmine and Tiffin and placed above 18 other schools.
