For some 20-somethings, life post-graduation can be stressful and chock-full of uncertainty. From finding a place to live, to trying to secure a job, to obtaining placement in a graduate program, former college students can easily get stuck in a post-university rut. Grand Rapids Pride Fest to celebrate LGBTQ community

To commemorate June being LGBT Pride Month, the annual Grand Rapids Pride Festival will be held to honor and celebrate the greater LGBTQ community. There will be no fee to enter the festival Saturday, June 17, in downtown Grand Rapids. The event, which will go from noon to midnight, will feature a selection of vendors and booths, as well as music and live drag performances.

Stomp out Stigma walk

'Stomp Out Stigma' 5K walk advocates mental health awareness

To aid in raising mental health awareness and advocacy, the Mental Health Foundation of West Michigan will be hosting its 2017 "Stomp Out Stigma" 5K walk Saturday, May 20, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Grand Valley State University's L. William Seidman Center, located in downtown Grand Rapids across from GVSU's Pew Campus.
