GVSU to host first Study Abroad Story Slam

On Thursday, Sept. 13, the Padnos International Center of Grand Valley State University will host the first-ever Story Slam, an event tailored toward students who have studied abroad and the stories they bring home with them. Students will be able to share their foreign experiences with others while connecting and hearing from others who’ve traveled to unique corners of the earth.

GVSU Performing Arts Center to Become LEED Silver Certified

Last year, Grand Valley State University completed its additions to the Haas Performing Arts Center on the Allendale campus. The remodel included the Linn Maxwell Keller Black Box Theatre as well as expansions to the costume and dressing department, two theater classrooms for costume design and fabrication and music ensemble and rehearsal spaces. These renovations created a two-story, 47,000 square-foot addition to campus.

GVSU Student Services Building named after Lubbers family

Grand Valley State University’s Student Services building has received a new title this year. The dedication ceremony for the Arend and Nancy Lubbers Student Services Center took place Friday, August 24, at 2 p.m. on the Allendale Campus. Speakers at the ceremony included university President Thomas J. Haas, Vice President for Enrollment Development Lynn Blue, Student Senate President Rachel Jenkin and Don and Nancy Lubbers.
