GVSU volleyball player Staci Brower uses height, skill to standout

Standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall, Grand Valley State volleyball star Staci Brower is currently taller than 18 NBA players. Her impressive height helped her notch two All-GLIAC First Team honors as a sophomore and a freshman, as well as accumulate 34 solo blocks last season. With that statistic, Brower has the most solo blocks by any Laker since the 2000 season.

GVSU volleyball makes 10-day trip to Italy, Slovenia

Grand Valley State’s volleyball team took a hit last season after losing to Ferris State in the first round of the GLIAC quarterfinals tournament. The Lakers moved on from last season as they looked forward to their 10-day Italy trip. The trip kicked off Friday, July 21, allowing the GVSU team to visit Slovenia and Italy. The Lakers gained an opportunity to play five games against foreign teams.
